Halftime Report · Wednesday
You're winning. Don't stop now.
Why did the calendar break up with the clock?
Because their days were numbered, but my love for you isn't.
My beautiful bebe,
Alright baby halftime talk. We're at Wednesday now and I need you to know something very clearly. You have already been killing it this week. Truly. The way you keep showing up, handling your days, pushing through everything and still being your beautiful amazing self. Yess that is star player behaviour right there.
If this was a real locker room speech I'd be standing there telling you the first half was yours. You came in strong, stayed steady and did exactly what you do best. You've already done so much and I'm so proud of you. Not just for the big things either but for the little things too. The way you keep going, the way you carry yourself, the way you make things look so effortless even when I know life can be tiring sometimes. You're really just that girl.
And the best part? The rest of the week still stands no chance. None. Because once you've already built this kind of momentum, it's over for them. Thursday and Friday can line up if they want but they're still dealing with Carolina and that is a very bad matchup for them. You're too strong, too smart, too beautiful and too special to not keep shining.
I also need you to know that you make everything so much better. My days feel softer with you in them. My heart feels fuller with you in it. Even when we're both busy and doing our own things, just knowing you're mine makes life feel warmer and lighter. You have this way of making everything feel better without even trying. That's one of the many things I love so much about you.
Sooo this is your little midweek reminder from your very biased coach and very in love boyfriend: keep going, keep being amazing, keep being the beautiful girl that you are because you are doing so so well. I'm proud of you, I believe in you and I'll always be cheering for you from the sidelines and running onto the field to kiss you after the win.
"Halfway through and still completely, impossibly, relentlessly yours."
End of halftime report. Second half begins now.
